Prinsloo Sevens pools announced

With the third leg of the National Sevens Circuit looming large, the draw for the 2012 Menengai Oil Prinsloo Sevens has been released. The 24 team tournament, taking place on September 1-2 at the Nakuru Athletic Club sees current circuit leaders Lunch Bar Quins seeded first, headlinig Pool A alongside UNICEF Kakamega, Daystar and Eldoret RFC.

Defending National Sevens Circuit champions Mwamba RFC headline Pool B and will face fixtures against Stormers, Thika and Molo while KCB are in Pool C together with KCA, Blak Blad and late entrants Multimedia, who replace Masinde Muliro.

Kisumu RFC, semi finalists at their home tournament, the Dala Sevens, which took place this past weekend, will fight for Pool D supremacy alongside Strathmore, Masaku and Bungoma.

Pool E sees Impala RFC seeded first, and they will face competition from Western Bulls, a Tanzanian team and Catholic University.

Homeboyz are in Pool F alongside hosts Nakuru, Nondies and Machine in what is the tournament’s group of death.

After, the Prinsloo Sevens, National Sevens Circuit action will return to Nairobi for the Kabeberi Sevens on 8 September before heading down to Mombasa for the Driftwood Sevens on 15 September. This will then pave way for the 17th edition of the Safaricom Sevens at the Nyayo National Stadium from 21 to 23 September.
